SPEEDO: Make 1K Wet

 
 

 

THE BRIEF

To create a campaign which challenges fitness enthusiasts to swap a running or fitness session each week for 1k swimming.

To introduce specialist running, health & fitness, lifestyle media and influencers to swimming through an engaging and informative experience.

Promote and reinforce benefits of swimming alongside other fitness sessions, such as running through research findings.

 

OUR APPROACH

  • Created, coordinated and implemented make 1k Wet, a campaign fronted by Games Of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel
     
  • Commissioned research findings from Portsmouth university to support and underpin the campaign
     
  • Coordinated and managed a media launch and announcement event with Nathalie
     
  • Created and distributed press toolkits
     
  • Briefed and provided assets to international markets

THE RESULTS

The launch event was attended by 43 media and influencers including Health & Fitness, InStyle and Evening Standard. It also saw attendance from international media including those from France, Spain & Italy. As result we managed to secure coverage in TRI247, Coach, In-Style as well as the Evening Standard.
